In this debut novel from actor/director/writer Alan Cumming the protagonist is a party boy who suddenly feels the urge to have children. While his lifestyle is to have sex (with men and women) in public restrooms and take whatever drugs he can get his hands on, he feels a pull towards a stable boyfriend and parenting. This obviously autobiographical novel is charming, witty and a quick read.

Tommy is twenty-nine, lives in London, and has a morbid fear of of C word - committment, the B word - boyfriend, and the F word - forgetting to call his drug dealer before the weekend. But when he begins to feel the urge to become a father, he starts to wonder if his chosen lifestyle can ever make him happy. Faced with the choice of maintianing his hedonistic, drugged-out and fabulous existenece or chucking it all in favor of a far more sensitive, fulfulling more staid lifestyle, Tommy finds himself in a quandry. Through a series of adventures form London's nightspots to New York bedrooms and back again, Tommy manages to answer some of life's most pressing questions - and lots more.
