Boy am I glad that David DeCoteau is back in the gay realm! I've missed his gay boys in their undies films -- it's been 10 years since he wandered off and made icky films such as Beastly Boyz. If you want a cheesy gay horror movie with some light gore, lots of men in tight underwear, gay softcore scenes and a flimsy plot, you're in the right place. Adapted loosely from the Edgar Allan Poe tale and shot in a very wonderfully creepy South African mansion, the boyfriend and I enjoyed this guilty pleasure.

Roderick is holding a masquerade ball on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the infamous Ravenswood massacre. Rather than tempting fate, he's inviting it. As each of the hunky guests arrive they strip to their underwear, make out with their boyfriends and get sliced by a man in a raven costume. I'm afraid that's basically the whole plot. What else do you need? If you're looking for some mindless entertainment, look no further. If you loved this film, check out David's cheesy classic Voodoo Academy.
