Review

Two young children eventually hit puberty on a desert island after being shipwrecked there. Big fucking deal, right? For interest only to those who wish to see blonde Adonis Chris Atkins fully-frontal. While an impressive "piece" it certainly is, slogging through the rest of this soft-core bore may make you wish that both of those damned kids had drowned.

The facts of life are presented through gooey soft-focus cinematography, cheesy dialogue and horrendous acting. Prurient straight folk can move on: All of Miss (Panty) Shields' nude work was done by a body double. Beefcake fans however (no matter what your sexual preference) will be thrilled to know that the bronzed and buff Mr. Atkins does all of his own (ahem) stunt work. Freeze frame was invented for movies like this.

Appearing-slash-posing in nothing more than a loincloth for most of the film's running time, there are several underwater shots of Chris nude and semi-hard, along with a delicious - albeit quick - glimpse at his thick one as he glides down a waterfall. (Thank you Mr. Kleiser. You're lookin' mighty fine here, Chris. Overall this movie still sucks though. Sorry!) In short, The Blue Lagoon is not a film to be trapped on a desert island with.

This movie has everything. I loved when they became teenagers and started to have sexual eyes for each other. I thought it was funny when she said that she would watch him jerk off. The only thing that was stupid was the ending.

talent Christopher Atkins'
stunning physical beauty is
captured as only a master can. also this film is distinctive in that Atkins may
well have the most full
frontal nude scenes ever by
the lead actor in a major
studio film. another treat is
the audio commentary done jointly by director Randal
Kleiser and Atkins. while there's nothing gay per se in the film for the reasons stated its the ultimate piece of homoerotic eye candy.
