High Camp value, great little escape movie

This was certainly a movie done on a shoestring budget. As they say in the Making Of... bonus feature, it was friends helping friends a lot of the time. But I really did enjoy it. The acting was somewhat wooden in the live action cartoon world, but then again, it's supposed to be a cartoon world, so why wouldn't it be a rather stiff and 2d character? My partner walked in while I was watching the movie and talked about the bad acting. I started the movie over so he could see it was supposed to be a comic book, come to life and he agreed with me that it certainly captured that texture completely, and that it was the best way to bring that feel to life. No main stream awards for this, but I thought it was a great way to spend an evening I loved the way that they just kinda left the gay unsaid, but certainly intended. The cameo's were just quite the bonus and Nichelle Nichols was worth the price of the DVD to me.

Now I'm actually almost hoping for a sequel. Vincent, are you reading this?

Fun, Campy film ...sci-fi lovers will surely love

I saw this film at Frameline in San Fran and in Los Angeles and just had a great time. I'm an avid sci-fi fan and just thought this film was a treat. Fun and funny and stayed true to it's campy nature. I've been to the website and it seems like it's been screened at a lot of big film festivals...like Austin, North Carolina, Phoenix, Long Island, Comic-con, and at Frameline in San Fran, which is one of the biggest. I'm not sure what the reviewer is talking about. I guess he didn't do his research. I saw it at Frameline and there was a full house. I guess some people need to lighten up and get a sense of humor and , maybe, do some research. I would recommend this film. It's a great film to get together with your friends and have some drinks and laugh your ass off to.

I saw this film at it's premiere in L.A. It's not great; but compared to some of the puerile crap this website has awarded three and even four stars ("Can't Stop The Music"? Please!) I'm surprised by the synopsis writer's vitriolic dismissal and lowest possible rating. This film will have appeal to Queer sci-fi fans for its numerous cameos and classic camp feel (think TV's "Batman").
