Underground comedy in an eclectic NYC apartment house. A therapist, an exchange student, an incompetent crook and his unhappily married mistress, and a gay Shakespearean actor are among the characters in this series of funny vignettes. Sandra Bernhard plays a neurotic Jewish single therapist in search of the "right" man. The exchange student is in search of the "right" man to marry for her Green Card. The unhappilly married woman is also in search of the right man, neither of her current lovers! The gay actor is in search of the right man, and a career. All find what they are seeking at the end of this pleasantly wacky comedy. If you want a movie that features cameo performances from both Ed Koch and The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, look no further!
