I've only watched it once, but I found this movie almost impossible to follow.
I have to say I was very disappointed. I expected at lot more from what I read.
Characters were there, then they weren't, no explanation. It was very choppy. It jumped around, I wasn't what the proper order should be.
I will watch it again and hopefully it will become clearer.

Without a doubt, this is one of the creepiest scariest sexiest films of all time.
If David Lynch was gay this would be his masterpiece. It really seems like a gay version of Lost Highway...only better.
Usually I can figure out what's going on or what's gonna happen next, not so with this roller-coaster of a thriller, which also seems to be a very sad haunted love story cursed doomed take your pix. Thankfully for once, here's a gay themed film where they found people who could act. The writing and direction are very very good, David Kittredge is def a person to keep ones eye and ear on. Can't wait for his follow up.
PS I was so creeped out that I had to turn the lights on something that films like this never make me do.

The film reminds me of the old 70s thrillers heavy on everything but a coherent plot.

I saw this film at a local gay & lesbian film festival. I thought it started out well enough, but some where I think the director got lost!!

It seemed very repetitive and overly long. This was not just my own view - several people left before the show was finished, and the majority of those who sat through the entire movie felt it was too long and too confusing.

On the other hand, I personally did sit through the whole film.... the past two years I have done the get up and walk out routine on well over half the movies I've seen at this festival!!

When a gay porn star disappears mysteriously, a writer and another porn star become obsessed with what has happened and are led into the dark corners of society that were never meant to be looked into. The film examines the relationship between those that appear in pornographic film and those that watch them and director, David Kitteredge, tries to show us that porn stars also have feelings.
I really am not sure what this film is about and that could be the reason I became so swept up into it. The film is both dark and dense and there were times that I felt that the director was paying homage to David Lynch. In reality there are three movies here. One is about a gay porn star from the 1980’s who is tempted to meet a mysterious private client who is dangerous. The star’s disappearance becomes the subject of the second film about a man who is writing about early gay pornography and is intrigues by the disappearance and who finds himself drawn, supernaturally, into the story. The third is about is modern porn star who is obsessed with recreating both the life and the death of the missing. Eventually all of the storylines do come together but in ways that are not clear.
The film is a thriller that poses disturbing questions that are realistic but none of them are ever answered. The clues to the answers are sometimes revolting yet always riveting. The film covers some fourteen years and is broken into three segments and the viewer is mesmerized by what he sees.
I found the film to be totally entertaining (if that is the correct word). The actors are excellent (Pete Scherer as Matt Stevens, the writer, Matthew Montgomery, in another great performance, this time as Michael Castigan, William Delmar as William, his lover and Jared Grey as Mark Anton, the porn star.
