Synopsis

In this new softcore erotica film from the writer/director of Daydream Obsession, Lawrence is just out of the closet and he turns to his straight friends for help. After getting a massage from an old high school crush, he has his friends find out more about the masseur. Will he turn out to be more than a masseur? Will he be faithful to Lawrence?

Review

With an almost non-existent plot, this softcore erotic film from the makers of Daydream Obsession is notable for its erotic massage sessions and nudity. Don't expect excellent acting, compelling story, gorgeous music – you won't get it. What you'll get is plenty of hot naked men, and some on-camera sensuous massage.

Lawrence is coming out of the closet and his poker-playing "straight" buddies want to help him ease out the door. So one of the guys hires a masseur who offers to massage naked and he figures Lawrence should meet this guy. Lawrence calls him and realizes that the masseur is an old high school acquaintance – and he has a crush on him. The other guys all get massages to make sure he's good at his job (and we don't understand this either – it's just an excuse for more nudity). Lawrence tells the masseur he went to school with him, they kiss and the film ends. This ain't Citizen Kane – don't expect your world to change and you'll be happy with Outcall.

What a lousy cheap movie! Terrible acting, completely empty storyline and the lead actor is supposed to be a sexy masseur who is, um, well, not that attractive. I can get a really hot sexy massage in Chicago (where this movie is filmed) from men much hotter than in this movie!!! Please, save your bucks for a real massage or an escort.

This "movie" is a waste of time and money. Minimal plot and poor acting do not make for a good movie. I have actually had to give this movie away. Don't waste your time and energy- it's not worth it.

I thought the first efforts of the Smyth/Yarbrough team (Daydream Obsession and Group Therapy) were actually hot guilty pleasures - Daydream Obsession 2 seemed to stumble a bit. Now comes Outcall and unless you have a particular fetish towards massage scenes, it is not bound to light your fire. True, the scenes have a nice sensual quality to them, but they go on forever. Other than a shower scene of the masseur, there are no other kinds of nude scenes in the film. Film opens with an erotic massage sequence between the masseur and a hot straight guy. The guy later compels his gay friend Lawrence to try the masseur. There appears to be some flirtation developing during Lawrence's massage, so he prods his remaining straight friends to get a massage to see if the masseur tries to pick them up as well. Disappointingly, of the remaining straight friends, the degree of nudity gets reduced based on the hotness factor. The least appealing guy bares all, the next considerably hotter guy bares his butt and maybe a split second frontal, but the hottest guy keeps shorts on all through the massage (CHEAT!). I like the guys and the nudity, but I was hoping for at least a little differentiation in the scenes. A bit of a letdown for me.
