Synopsis

At the age of 55, Jean-Pierre Voidies had a sex-change operation with the help of his wife. As a political activist, poet, novelist, husband of the bird-like Huguette Voidies, and the father of one son, Jean-Noel, he had accomplished a great deal.

Now living his life as the dainty Ovida Delect, she is still a political activist, poet, and novelist as well as the author of an autobiography, Putting on the Dress. Stationing herself as Huguette's life-long companion (rather than husband), she remains the source of many conflicting emotions in Jean-Noel, their earnest son with aspirations to become a DJ.
