Bump!, the world's first and most-watched gay and lesbian travel television series, is now on DVD. Join the adorable Charlie David (Dante's Cove) as he shows off the best that Europe has to offer gays and lesbians. This resourceful and entertaining DVD is perfect for the seasoned and armchair traveler alike!
Paris:Berlin:
Berlin gets off to a pretty busy start as Charlie takes us to the Mann-O-Meter - a must-stop for all that is gay in Berlin - followed by a Diva's And Gay Icon's walking tour of the city. Along the way, we stop at Schwulesmuseum, a gay museum and Bruno's, a vast gay media and bookstore, as well as a few gay cafes. We'll also meet Monika, the woman most in the know about the queer scene in Berlin since the early 1970's. After a rest at the chic Arco Hotel, it's off to sample the very hip restaurant scene including dinner and drinks at Zoe and More, followed by a bar and club tour including the Halloween Masquerade at club Café.
Amsterdam:
Charlie gets settled at a unique hotel in Amsterdam, the Golden Bear, where the rooms are anything but ordinary! Then Charlie takes Bump! viewers on a whirlwind tour of Amsterdam - starting with a visit to the gay tourist information center Pink Point at the foot of the word's only monument dedicated to gay concentration camp victims, The Homo Monument. From there we hear and see what makes Amsterdam's gay pride unique: it's held on barges floating down the numerous canals that ring the city. After a bit of shopping that includes Charlie being fit for leather chaps, it's time to experience an uber-fab eats at SupperClub - a restaurant with a rather unusual washroom set-up. Finally, Charlie hits Amsterdam's bar-scene, which proves that there is something for just about every kind of queer taste in this world class city.
