Synopsis

This collection of popular gay short films includes two award-winning short musicals: Fairies directed by Tom Gustafsen, which was the basis for the hit movie Were the World Mine, and the colorful and romantic Boycrazy plus four other acclaimed shorts: Teddy, a wistful story of a man trying to win back his ex lover; The Back Room, the surprising story of unexpected romance between two art lovers; Frequent Traveler, about a man with a crush on an airport guard; and Dish, a look at a kids bragging via text message.

Fairies
Timothy is bullied by homophobic classmates at his all boys high school. While studying "A Midsummer Night's Dream," he imagines a world where he isn't so different. This original short was the inspiration for the smash hit feature, Were The World Mine. Directed by Tom Gustafson. USA (20 min.)
Dish
Emo kids Israel and Louie walk around their East Los Angeles neighborhood dishing about their high school classmates. After listening to Louie boast about his sexual escapades, Israel decides he has some catching up to do. Featuring a stand-out performance by Matthew Monge as young Israel. Get ready for a great new collection of winning gay shorts from Wolfe Video. “Boycrazy” is made up of two award winning shorts (“Fairies”, the inspiration for “Were the World Mine” and “Boycrazy”) and these are teamed with four other outstanding gay short films. Thus we get quite a collection here.
“Fairies” is basically a much shorter version of “Were the World Mine” and Timothy, the main character, dreams of a world where he, as a gay boy, is not so different.
“Dish” is about two young “emos” who “dish” their classmates and is rife with personality.
“Teddy” looks at reigniting a romance when the flame is gone and one of the partners has moved on to someone else.
“Frequent Traveler” looks at what a guy with a crush on an airport security agent will go through to be noticed.
“The Back Room” looks at the relationship between the manager of a bookstore and one of his customers, a mysterious stranger, who is training to learn about an artist that inspired him when he was in Italy. As information comes to light so does a relationship
Finally, “Boycrazy” is about Corey who loves being single but who still explores the possibility of a love relationship. When he finds himself being courted by two guys at the same time, he is faces with making a decision.
The DVD will not be out until April but I can tell you that this is one worth waiting for.
